A school within a science center, Talcott Mountain Academy inspires young minds to ask questions, seek answers and explore new ideas. Small classes, peer-to-peer mentorship opportunities and numerous school-wide activities contribute to a close-knit community where students find acceptance and feel they belong. So much so, they often refer to Talcott as their ‘home away from home.”

Get an inside look at the Talcott’s unique approach to education in At Wonder’s Peak: Discovering Science on Talcott Mountain. This captivating documentary by Connecticut Public Television takes you behind the scenes with students, parents and faculty, who have seen first-hand how the learning process is accelerated by encouraging curiosity, questioning the status quo in scientific exploration, and striving to use scientific understanding to contribute value to society.
At Wonder’s Peak explores how teachers at the Academy are coaching students through the discovery process, and inspiring them to apply their knowledge in breakthrough ways.
